The Team

ACTIS operates under the leadership of the Director, Dr. Roger Baud, along with a team of professionals who are brought according to the needs of each particular program.

Dr Roger Baud
Executive Director

Dr. Roger Baud has a PhD. in Social Psychology and Journalism from the University of Zürich (1973). He began his career as a high school teacher and psychology assistant at University of Zurich, where he conducted social research in the public sector. Dr. Baud has also been the director of various tourism enterprises and an environmental NGO and has acted as an environmental tourism consultant leading research projects with the Swiss National Science Foundation. Roger Baud took on the job of Executive Director of the Alliance for Global Sustainability at ETH Zurich in 1998 and remained Director of ETHsustainability until his retirement in 2009. In early 2009 Dr Baud created ACTIS to continue and expand the YES program.
