Youth Encounter on Sustainability
Intensive, innovative, international: The YES courses are dedicated to build a network of committed leaders around the world in order to craft a sustainable future for all.
YES offers students from all disciplines and regions intensive two-week trainings on human well-being within the boundaries of our planet. The YES courses combine scientific knowledge with professional experience in a highly creative learning environment at changing locations worldwide.
YES provides a unique opportunity for participants to share their expertise with more than 1,500 YES Alumni all around the world. Former YES participants say that the courses and the Alumni community have had a lasting impact on their professional, academic and personal development. Many of the YES Alumni have established programs and organizations dealing with sustainable development, climate change, agriculture, community services, and education. 43% of the YES Alumni are in leadership positions (YES alumni survey 2012).
The Switzerland-based non-profit organization myclimate is responsible for YES since 2014 with the integration of former YES operator ACTIS Education, official spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich).
